About Nikau Wellbeing

Creating Nikau Wellbeing has allowed me to use the combination of Massage, Acupuncture and Physiotherapy in one therapeutic environment.

The benefits of Massage have become increasingly evident to me the longer I practice. However massage holds a limited place in the conventional Physiotherapy Clinic mostly due to time constraints. It is a pleasure to be able to have the time to utilise this age old therapy.

The combination of Massage and Acupuncture is extremely beneficial especially in the treatment of pain and stiffness in muscles and joints. There is also the added benefit of improving general health and emotional wellbeing using Traditional Chinese Acupuncture.

A large majority of the discomfort and dysfunction I see is a direct result of bad posture and movement patterns in the work or sporting environment sport. This is where Physiotherapy comes into play. I am able to correct posture, advise on improving the workplace environment, assess muscle balance, prescribe exercises and stretches.

The Nikau Palm is a common feature of our northern coastal regions. I have always loved these palms because of their beautiful form and because they remind me of childhood summers at the beach.
